An in-house alterations staff is another of Stone Manor’s essential services. Their three professionally trained seamstresses have over forty years of combined experience in Bridal alterations and can assist you with any alterations your Bridal, Bridesmaid, Mother-of-the-Day, or Flowergirl gowns may require. All sewing is done in-house, which means your gowns will never leave our store until you are ready to pick them up.

For bridal gowns, your first fitting should be scheduled at least 2 months prior to your wedding. You will have a second fitting about 1 month before your wedding, where your seamstress can teach your attendants how to get you dressed and bustle your gown on your wedding day. An alterations rush fee of $100 will be charged for any bridal gown altered in less than 2 months time.

For Bridesmaid, Mother-of-the-Day, and Flowergirl dresses, first fittings should be scheduled at least 1 month prior to your wedding. Most of these dresses are ready to be picked up the week of the wedding without another fitting, although a second fitting would be scheduled about 2 weeks prior to the event if necessary. An alterations rush fee of $30 will be charged for any attendant gown altered in less than 1 months time.

Every gown that leaves our store is professionally pressed and inspected after alterations are completed to ensure that your gown looks flawless when you walk down the aisle. When you pick up your bridal gown it will be packaged in a clear, thick-gauge plastic bag on a cardboard and tissue paper bust form to maintain the shape of the dress before you wear it. Our Bridal Consultants will help you pack the gown in your car to ensure the safest transport possible. We also offer packaging of gowns in travel bags or carry-on luggage for destination weddings.
